Fabrica (2006)

 






















Fabbrica was written by Ascanio Celestini (IT) based on interviews to workers of Piaggio Factory in Pontedera, Italy.
He collected all the testimonies on a short story recalling the memory of the working community, with its unique characters, songs and secrets.

Barreiro, hometown of Vigilâmbulo Caolho group, is also an industrial working city.
In the beginning of the XX century a rich entrepreneur settled his factories there and changed a small fisherman village into a city of workers and their families, with immigrants from all over the country.
With Factory we used an outside point of view to reveal the local and familiar, to dialogue with the local history and recent past.
