Debaixo da Cidade (2005)

By portuguese author Gonçalo M. Tavares, the text is a research on Beckett's last texts, where the character questions it's identity, body and surrounding space through language.
There was a distribution of the characters speech for four voices, three performing live and one recorded. The set design referred to an abandoned house, where the objects are covered with sheets, as bodies in sleep. During the performance, the actors would lye under the structure, reading from there, interacting with the off-voice and subtly moving the structure around.

With Vigilâmbulo Caolho.
